Missing since June 15, 1987 from Overland Park, Johnson County, Kansas.
Classification: Endangered Missing
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance
Catherine Clampitt moved to Overland Park, Kansas from Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1987. Clampitt was born in Korea but grew up in Texas after being adopted.
She found work at Equi-II, a management consulting firm created by serial killer John Edward Robinson Sr. After hearing nothing from her for weeks, her brother called the police and then spent eight months doing his own investigation, at one point even staking out Robinson's office. Police talked to Robinson but couldn't connect him with the disappearance.
Her disappearance has now been connected to Robinson and to the disappearances of Lisa Stasi, Tiffany Stasi and Paula Godfrey as well as the murders of several other women.
