Circumstances of Disappearance
Mero was last seen in McCloud, California on February 28, 1997. Karin was last seen on the front porch of a residence on East Minnesota Street in McCloud, where she was living with her boyfriend.
Because she was an adult and believing Karin had probably moved away, the Sheriffs Department didn't list her as missing until November 1997. Deputies also had a warrant out for her and thought she might be hiding.
Karin was estranged from her husband at the time of her disappearance.
She is described as a very caring person; very outgoing with a lot of friends.
Her disappearance have been linked to the disappearance of Hannah Zaccaglini who disappeared from McCloud four months later.
