Circumstances of Disappearance

Patricia Otto was last seen in Idaho on August 31, 1976. She was reported missing on September 2, 1976. She disappeared after having a fight with her husband who was long suspected of having a hand in her death. He died several years later without being cleared of suspicion or charged with her death.

According to news reports, the case was first filed in Oregon as a murder case but was thrown out and closed with all evidence destroyed in 1990 when no identity or cause of death was confirmed. Otto was reported missing to Lewiston Police and this case remains active.
