  • Case History

A couple searching for mushrooms discovered the victim's remains in Woody Creek off of Lenado Road. The victim was partially hidden by fallen trees and had been shot twice in the head.

Investigators concluded that he had been shot with two different guns and may have been blindfolded. They traced the comforter found with the body to a Comfort Inn in St. George, Utah.

A sculpture was completed depicting what the man might have looked like with a pipe and glasses. In 1993, a drawing portrayed an average-looking man with a square jaw.

The victim, known as "Lenado Man" is buried in an unmarked grave in Glenwood Springs.
