Circumstances of Disappearance

Mr. John South was reported missing on December 17, 1998. Mr. South had made arrangements to meet with his family on December 20, 1998 to decorate a Christmas tree. The family members were not able to make contact with Mr. South for several days.

His family contacted the Johnson County Sheriff's Department and filed a missing person under circumstances indicating that the disappearance was not voluntary. Mr. South's 1985, white Subaru Justy Hatchback with a cracked rear tailight, was also missing bearing a Tennessee Vehicle Registration Number: 774-HJL.

He is a Vietnam veteran.
