Vital Statistics
Case History
Robert James Bowling was last seen by his family on August 11, 1985 in Parker, Colorado. His mother had left Douglas County with a carnival worker, her son
Robert, 4 months, and daughter Ashley, 18 months. By the time they reached Louisiana, they had no money and Robert had died. The mother said his body was dumped in
a plastic bag and tossed into a trash bin somewhere in Louisiana. His body was never found. The mother told investigators she sold her daughter to a couple. The
mother eventually returned to Colorado and told her family that she had lost both children.
Ashley was located safe in Louisiana in 1996.
