Distinguishing Marks/Features: She had a well-healed nasal fracture and indicators of surgery. She may have been anemic but possibly didn't know. Her upper teeth were prominent. The front teeth had white fillings. Some back teeth had small silver fillings.

Clothing & Personal Items

Clothing: A multi-coloured "Blue Rodeo" brand short-sleeved shirt with a hood and a portion of a pair of grey track pants with elastic cuff were found in the area.
Jewelry: A woman's digital Omni watch with a stainless-steel band - sold exclusively at Consumers Distributing from 1981 to 1983. Near the remains was found a large, size 9" gold ring with a garnet between two one-point diamonds. "Burns" was stamped inside possibly sold by Burns Jewelers, a family-run business on Simcoe Street in Oshawa from 1923 to 1994. The ring was made by A&A Manufacturing in Toronto.

Circumstances of Discovery

On October 27, 2006, human remains were found in a marshy field near the Darlington Nuclear Plant (near South Service and Holt Roads) in Bowmanville, Ontario. Once thought to be Caucasian, DNA Doe Project's research has determined she was of African and southeast Asian descent, possibly with Caribbean familial ties.
