Circumstances of Disappearance
Mondelli was last seen in the Canarsie section of the New York City borough of Brooklyn on July 22, 1990. She planned to pick up her daughter from her aunt's residence at the time of her disappearance. Mondelli never arrived as scheduled and has not been heard from again.
New York City Police Department refused to take a missing person report for 8 years. A missing person report was finally made in 1998. Foul play is suspected. Her next of kin was never notified do to the time lapse before a Missing Person Report was made.
