James William Thompson
Missing since March 8, 1994 from Dublin, Ireland.
Classification: Missing
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance
Thompson went to Ireland for a holiday in August of 1993. He liked it so much that he decided to stay a while longer. He regularly phoned his parents and the last time they spoke to him, he said that he would be coming home on March 9, 1994.
According to his friends in Dublin, Thompson left the house where he was staying on Leo Street saying that he was going to have a last look around the city before going home to Cheltenham the next day. He left his personal belongings in the flat. James has not been seen since.
His case was reported to the Gardai in Mountjoy and his case is also registered with Interpol. There have been a number of sightings of him in the last number of years including one in Dunmanway Co Cork and other parts of Ireland.
There have also been reported sightings in London and Glastonbury. He may be with new age travellers of a religious group of some kind.
The family also made a trip to Leeds after sightings of James were reported but instead of finding their son they met a man who looked extremely like him.
