Cindy was last seen on March 30, 1989 in Fresno, CA. She disappeared when she was left alone in her backyard sitting in a swing. Her father committed suicide a few days after she went missing, and he never showed up for a scheduled polygraph test a few days earlier. On the same day, her mother attempted suicide, but survived. Both parents had changed their stories as to the circumstances of their daughter's disappearance. The baby disappeared on a Thursday, but the child's mother did not notify police until Saturday. In an interview, the mother said that she delayed calling police out of fear that her husband would be considered a suspect because he has a history of spousal abuse. Searches have turned up no clues as to Cindy's whereabouts.
