Frasure was last seen after attending a church service in Tiffin, Ohio with her mother, Mary Lafontaine, on December 11, 1993. The following day, Frasure failed to report for work.
Her car, a red 1988 Oldsmobile Delta, was found in February 1994 in the parking lot at the Meijer store in Findlay, with some personal items still inside. Her purse was believed to have been in the trunk of the car, but it was never recovered. Lafontaine saw her put the purse in the trunk of the car after they attended church. Evidence indicated the car had been parked in the lot since December 13, 1993.
The prime suspect in Mrs. Frasure's disappearance is her husband. He committed suicide in June 1997 while housed in a Frankfort, Kentucky jail on a burglary conviction. He had an extensive criminal record including domestic violence.
Despite an exhaustive search, no trace of Linda Frasure was discovered. Foul play is suspected.
