    • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'2 - 5'4"; 110 - 115 lbs.
    • Distinguishing Characteristics: Light brown/sandy hair; brown eyes. Her hair was bleached blonde at the tips. No scars or tattoos.
    • Clothing: She was wearing cutoff, blue Levi jeans (29L - 30W); a red Fruit Of The Loom t-shirt (42-44); white knee socks, with blue stripes at top; and white canvas tennis shoes (size 5 1/2).
    • Fingerprints/DNA: Available.


    Case History
    The victim was located in a n isolated pasture on U.S. Highway 385, north of Vega in 1987.
    A state transportation department employee spotted the woman's badly decomposed body on September 18, 1987, about 50 feet beyond the fence line of a field 15 miles north of Vega on U.S. Highway 385.
    An autopsy revealed she died of strangulation three days to a week before her body was found. She had no identification. Investigators tried everything, including fingerprints, with no luck.
    They also explored whether she was the victim of a serial killer or linked to any other cases but to no avail.
