Circumstances of Disappearance
Told his family he was going to a local hardware store that afternoon.
Cain was last seen at his home in Los Angeles, California on February 18, 1986.
The day after he disappeared he called a friend, said he didn't feel
well, and wouldn't go to work.
He's described as a solid employee, and a steadfast family man.
Two days later police spotted a man, who seemed confused. He gave them
the phone# to Rogest's sister. They believe this man to be Cain.
When the sister arrived, the man was gone.
One month later, His car was found parked on a busy street, 20 miles
from his home. All his papers were in the car. Also his glasses, and
false teeth. Rogest had spoken to a mechanic where he left his car,
and payed to get it repaired.
His speech was slurred and he walked in a staggering way.
He may have suffered a light stroke causing memory loss. He may have
been picked up by police and brought to hospital as a John Doe.
He may have been seen in Topeka, Kansas and may have used the
name 'Elmer Jackson'.
He was legally deceased in April of 1995.
