Circumstances of Disappearance

In the early morning hours of December 30, 1989 - sometime around 3 a.m. - Karen was driving on I-275 with her sister-in-law. The two got into an argument and Karen apparently got out near the Madeira-Loveland exit and walked away. Karen was never seen again. Karen had $7 in her pocket and two paychecks totaling $23.30 waiting for her that were never picked up.

At the time Karen disappeared, she was living in Reading with her family and was a senior at Reading High School. A search by police and the family of the area and the surrounding terrain for miles revealed no clues. Foul play is suspected.
