Missing since April 14, 1989 from New South Wales, Australia.
Circumstances of Disappearance
Jacki-Lee Walsh disappeared from Australia in 1989. Taking the first of two days off from her Kiama nursing-home job, Ms Walsh drove her fiance to work and then planned to go shopping with a girlfriend. But she never kept this appointment. Instead, her red 1970 Torana was found six days later in the car park of a hotel, the boot stained with a large quantity of blood. When tests proved the blood was Walsh's, a medical officer concluded that she had bled to death, possibly from a slashed throat.
Inquiries revealed that Ms Walsh led a secret life, using and dealing in amphetamines. After dropping off her fiance she drove to a house and purchased 15 g of "speed", worth between $400 and $500. People at the house insisted she bought the amphetamines, took a hit and then left. It is not known how Walsh's car got to the hotel car park and despite an extensive search her body has never been found.
