The unidentified, homeless woman was located living in Ala Moana Park. She was in need of medical attention and could not walk due to lack of strength. She was admitted into a state hospital where she received treatment until her death on April 27, 2013.
While she lived in the state hospital she was unable to care for herself. She was schizophrenic and described as being very proper and having an English Canadian-like accent. She was an avid reader and was a smoker. She referred to herself as "Ah," with the sound being the "a" as in the pronunciation of the word "agreement." Based on investigative conversations with local social service organizations, she had probably been in Hawaii for six to eight years prior to her discovery.
