Case History
The victim was located by a jogger in a ditch along a country road near Napanee, Ontario. The road has been described as sparsely traveled. It is located approximately four (4) kilometers north of the Palace Road exit of Highway 401 (Ernestown Township, R.R #4, Napanee, Ontario).
Five years after the discovery, police circulated photos of a full-size mannequin dressed in clothing identical to those worn by the deceased. It is believed that the remains are not of a local resident but rather those of someone murdered elsewhere, possibly in Quebec, and dumped at this location.
Police have exhaustively searched missing persons reports in Canada and the United States. Police have also checked dental records with more than 140 dentists located between Belleville and Cornwall as well as in Quebec.
