Circumstances of Disappearance
Douglas Bowers was last seen on November 14, 1997, at Waylon's Roadhouse Bar near Lexington in Worth Township, Sanilac County, Michigan.
His vehicle, a 1985 Buick station wagon, was recovered on December 8, 1997, in the parking lot of a Meijer located in Fort Gratiot, Michigan.
The Michigan State Police Crime Lab located blood on one of the vehicle's windows. Searches were conducted in the surrounding area using cadaver dogs. Foul play is suspected.
Mr. Bowers lived in an apartment above Waylons Road Haus, a bar on Lakeshore Road, when he disappeared.
