Circumstances of Discovery

A family on a fishing trip found the decedent's skull in the Wando River under the Wando Bridge.

An anthropological assessment determined the child is of mixed ancestry, showing both black and white traits. Only the cranium was recovered, no other bones including the madible have been found. The skull did not show any evidence of trauma.

The skull was previously thought to have belonged to a young female. Doe case file 830UFSC.
