A man was fishing off the beach near High Island Beach when his dog began tugging on a pair of pants near the vegetation line. The man began to dig and found a skeleton several inches below the sand.
The body had been bound with nylon cord and the skull had several cracks, indicating he had been murdered. Authorities were able to recover most of the remains but one or both hands and one or more limbs were not recovered.
