Circumstances of Disappearance
Antoine was last seen at The Gap at Watsons Bay early on the 12th of April, 1998
He had arrived three weeks earlier on a holiday from France and was due to return at that time. Police searched the area and located some of Mr. Herran's belongings, however he has not been heard from or seen since. At the time of his disappearance he was staying at a hotel in SurryHills.
It is believed he did not make his return flight to France.
Police think he is gay and started a new life under another identity and remained in Australia. They don't think he committed suicide. According to his family he always hid his homosexuality. Early in the morning of his disappearance he had called police sating he witnessed a suicide. Police found his bag and the body of a young 27 year old man, a patient of a psychiatric institute deceased several hours after the call.
