On April 23, 1996, a man contacted the Burbank Police Department to report that "a while back" he found a human skull while hiking in Griffith Park. The man had the skull at his residence at 2335 N. Fairview in Burbank, California for an unknown period of time before reporting the skull to the police. Per anthropologist skull belongs to a black male who is older than 38. The mandible is missing and the skull has one upper tooth. The skull has been varnished, and it appears that the tooth was placed in the skull at a later date.
