Circumstances of Disappearance
Michael Bell went missing in 1983 following a camping holiday on the Isle of Skye, he had decided to leave a week early after becoming unhappy.
He phoned his dad in Birmingham, for the last time from a phone box, saying he would be home the next day and has not been heard from since. The last phone call was believed to have been made from the Dalwinnie area.
He left all his luggage behind at the campsite. According to his family he was a loner and spent a lot of time at home. He was thought to be depressed.
