Distinguishing Marks/Features: She had a spinal operation with two spinal plates attached to the fourth and fifth lumbar vertebrae and secured
with pedicle screws. The right plate was labeled "803-005 Lot 14484" and the left plate was labeled "803-005 #15024." The spinal plates were manufactured by Medtronic (formerly Sofamor Danek) most likeley between 1988 and 1990. The laminae and spinous processes of the fourth and vertebrae are absent. Evidence of bone grafting was present on these vertebra, but the vertebrae were not united. A harvest site was present on the lateral side of the right posterior superior iliac spine. The adjacent surfaces of the bodies of L-5 and S-1 indicated the disc had been removed or collapsed.
Dentals: Available (Radiographs and charting); Extensive and expensive dental work. Two fixed bridges, metal and porcelain crowns and a removable appliance.

Case History
A prison work crew found the victim's remains just off the south side of U.S. 41 in the Big Cypress National Preserve, west of Dade/Collier county line in an overgrown/shaded area.
The area she was found is well-traveled, leaving investigators to believe she may not be from the Southwest Florida area.
UPDATE - On August 1, 2015, it was released that she was identified as Patricia Minnis. She was reported missing two years after her body was found.
