Marilyn was last seen at the Richmond Coin Laundry at the corner of South 10th and South E Streets. She was using her fiance's vehicle that day. Surveillance footage show Marilyn alone, loading her laundry into the vehicle. By 3 p.m., she and the vehicle were gone and Marilyn's not been seen since.
Months later, on November 3, 2001, the vehicle was found in the parking lot of a Dayton, Ohio apartment complex. The door had been knocked in, the ignition switch had been tampered with, and the stereo was missing. Marilyn's clean laundry was found still folded inside.
In 2010, Tommy Swint, a friend of Marilyn's and a person of interest in her disappearance, committed suicide after being indicted in Ohio for an unrelated 1991 murder. Foul play is suspected in Marilyn's disappearance.
