The victim was struck and killed by an automobile at Routes 1 and 9 Northbound near the Delancy Street exit in Newark, New Jersey. The victim was known by people in the area as "Wayne" and was also known to walk on the highway. He was possibly an engineer and possibly lost his wife in a house fire in Newark, New Jersey. He cashed change at the Penn Federal Savings Bank on Wilson Avenue in Newark, New Jersey and spent hours in the lobby.
His possible last name is "Campbell". He may have lived at one time off of Exit 7 of the New Jersey Turnpike (Bordentown). Victim was currently living on Delancy Street under the Routes 1 and 9 bridge
