Circumstances of Disappearance
Norwood was last seen at approximately 17:15 in her hometown of Hallsville, Texas. She was walking home on Barnes Road in the Caney Creek Estates off of Texas 449, in Hallsville, with a group of three friends. The four children went their separate ways less than one mile from Norwood's family's house. She never arrived home and has not been seen again.

Kimberly was two weeks from finishing Hallsville Middle School and entering Hallsville Junior High when she went missing. She loved riding horses, spending time with friends and playing with her sister. She did well in school and tested into two accelerated learning classes.
