Reconstructed Image of Victim

Unidentified Black Male

  • Located in September 1995 in Westland, Wayne County, Michigan.
  • Cause of death is unknown due to skeletal remains.
  • The victim died between 1989 - 1995.

  • Vital Statistics

  • Estimated age: 40 - 60 years old
  • Approximate Height and Weight: 5'2 - 5'7"
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: He may have been biracial and possibly a citizen of a country outside the United States. He had several previous injuries, all of which had healed or were in the process of healing and were unrelated to his death. The victim's lower jaw and skull were fractured at one time. Four of his middle left ribs had been fractured. His right shoulder bones were fractured and fused; as a result, he would have had limited mobility of his right shoulder. The victim's anterior left hip was fractured. A small piece of led, presumed to be a bullet fragment, was imbedded in the rear of his left hip. This suggests that the victim suffered a gunshot wound several years prior to his death.
  • Dentals: Missing all upper and lower front teeth.
  • Clothing: He was located with a green t-shirt, size 42 - 44 large. No other items of clothing were discovered with the victim.

  • Case History
The victim was discovered on the banks of the Rogue River, near the intersection of Edward Hines Park Drive and Middlebelt Road in Westland, MI. He may have entered the river from upstream -- possibly near Hines Park.
