An autopsy determined the child may have been stillborn but it was not possible to determine the gender, or how long the baby had been abandoned. Although a thorough search of the area was made it was not possible to determine the original location of this crime. The Colorado Springs Police Department asks anyone who may have information or witnessed any unusual activity on May 31, 1971, in the area of the 4100 block of East Columbia Street, to please contact them.
