Case HistoryColorado Springs Police Officers were called to a residence at 4116 East Columbia Street when the homeowner's dog carried the remains of an infant to the front yard. An autopsy determined the child may have been stillborn but it was not possible to determine the gender, or how long the baby had been abandoned. Although a thorough search of the area was made it was not possible to determine the original location of this crime. The Colorado Springs Police Department asks anyone who may have information or witnessed any unusual activity on May 31, 1971, in the area of the 4100 block of East Columbia Street, to please contact them. Please note: all cases in which the gender of the victim is unknown are assigned and filed as Male.
