Circumstances of Disappearance
McGarrigle was last seen at her home in Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland on June 12, 1997.
It is believed she may have been instrumental in the exposure of a pedophile ring in Largs in the weeks before she went missing.
She is known to have caught a ferry to Wemyss Bay on June 14, 1997, and traveled to Largs, where she stayed at a flat with two convicted pedophiles.
She went missing from the Largs flat a few weeks after moving in.
Her estranged family reported her missing in October.
Police believe McGarrigle was probably murdered and dumped at sea.
