He was carrying a briefcase believed to contain over $100,000.00 worth of diamonds and precious stones. He was driving a 1980 Mercury Cougar, Red/Maroon (a Hertz rental) Florida tag ZCW 980. The vehicle was recovered on the Florida turnpike on September 5, 1980.
No signs of foul play observed in or on the vehicle.
