Circumstances of Disappearance
Davey was last seen about 17.00 driving a four wheel drive type vehicle in Saville street in Broome, Western Australia on January 14, 1997.

This is the last known location that she visited in Broome prior to her disappearance. She had been living at the One Arm Point Community.

There have been numerous reported sightings of Ms Davey since the last confirmed one on January 14, 1997 when she picked up a handbag from a house in Saville Street, Broome, where she was staying for a few days, telling relatives she would return later. She was driving aToyota Land Cruiser, which has never been found.

Police suspect convicted killer Bradley John Murdoch, who is serving life for murdering British backpacker Peter Falconio, may have been involved in the disappearance of Sara Davey and Petronella Albert.
Both girls disappeared in Broome, with Davey reported missing in 1997, and Albert in 1999.
