The decedent's partial remains were found in the Milwaukee River by a floating crane operator who was removing pilings from the northeast corner of the Kilbourn Avenue Bridge. The body was disarticulated at about the waist area. Both arms and legs were missing.
At the time it was believed that the body was that of a white male over the age of 30.
It was determined where the apartment building and room the key found on this individual went to but it did not lead to an identification.
