Circumstances of Disappearance
Herbster was last seen on March 9, 1979 in Westampton Township, NJ, while walking home from her new job at a Mount Holly electronics firm. Her car and purse were found in her Westampton front yard following her disappearance.
Police have never been able to substantiate persistent rumors she was slain and her body dumped at a local construction site.
