Missing since May 1994 from Essex, England, United Kingdom
Circumstances of Disappearance
Eric Belliard hasn't been heard from since May 1994. After successful studies he became a teacher. Eric lived alone in his apartment and worked as a specialized teacher in Montfermeil, France in a difficult area. He suffered from a nervous depression in 1990 and refused care. He was placed under the care of a guardian and was hospitalized in February 1991 and in December 1992. He ran away from France the day after he went left the hospital.
He went to Switzerland and Germany, went to a center for homeless persons then left for Aberdeen, England. He contacted his mother saying he wanted to board a boat.
The last news his mother received from him was a communique from the French Consulate in London in May 1994. It stated Eric had come to the Swiss Embassy in Essex, looking for a job, but he had a fake id card.
Eric Belliard wrote a lot of poems. His mother has had some them published in a collection entitled "RÍve d'un Ailleurs" ("Dreams of an Elsewhere") in hopes to hear from him.
