Circumstances of Disappearance

Serial killer William Darrell Lindsey admitted to killing Donetha in 1997.

According to Lindsey's confession, Donetha, who worked as a prostitute, was picked up by Lindsey while she walked along West King Street near the railroad tracks. They spent the afternoon together at his trailer on Masters Farm. On the drive back to King Street, Donetha told Lindsey she was HIV-Positive. When Lindsey arrived at the end of a paved road, he stopped his vehicle and began beating her. Lindsey then went into the woods about 30 feet along a bank and threw her into the creek.

Donetha's remains have yet to be recovered.
