Circumstances of Disappearance

Mary was last seen on November 14, 1970. The weekend of her disappearance, she had backed out of a camping trip with her parents and siblings saying that her husband had called to say he was coming home. Mary's oldest son recalls arguing and his father's stern orders "not to look outside." The son believes that Mary's body may have been wrapped in a red blanket which his father retrieved from the house.

Mary's husband reported her missing the day after her diappearance. She reportedly went on a shopping trip to retail store in Lakeland but never returned. Her 1959 white Cadillac was found in the store's parking lot. Mary's wallet was found inside the car, but $200 her husband allegedly gave her was missing. She never took off her wedding rings, yet the rings were found at the house.

Mary's body has never been found and no one has ever been charged in her disappearance.
