Audrey Groat spent a day of shopping with a friend in Burlington. She was dropped of at her vehicle at a Park and Ride near the Wrightsville Reservoir in Middlesex. Her pickup truck was located parked in the same location and her purse was found in nearby bushes.
The area has been searched on a number of occasions with no results. Her disappearance was extremely suspicious. She is presumed deceased.
In May 2012, human remains were located at a construction site near where Audrey was last seen. The remains do not appear to be Audrey's and are believed to be over 50 years old.
She resided in Northfield at the time of her disappearance.
