Circumstances of Discovery

The victim was found with a head injury around 14.00 at the rear of a building on the 15000 block of Salt Lake Street. He was transported to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for treatment. He never emerged from a coma, and was transferred to the California Rehabilitation Center in Van Nuys for further care. On June 30, 2006, he was pronounced dead.
