Frank was last seen by his mother on 12th February 1993, at approximately 6.30pm, leaving his home in Mayfield, Cork. He headed for a local short cut through a nearby field which led to Mayfield Business Park, walking in the direction of Mayfield Shopping Centre. Before leaving he asked Sylvia (his sister) to pick him up a Valentine's card to give to his girlfriend, and asked his mother to keep him some clean clothes for a date he had planned. Garda suspected Fred Flannery of being responsible of Frank' disappearance, in addition to Kevin Ball and Cathal O'Brien. He was charged with Denis Patrick O'Driscoll murder. Flannery hanged himself in a farmhouse at Carrigaline, Co Cork, in May 2003.
