The unidentified male was found in a river beside Cluaine Airne Estate, in Shannon, Co. Clare.The body was discovered near the Cluain Airne Estate, Shannon, and may have been in the water for two weeks. Foul play is not suspected. The man, aged between 30 and 50 years, was about 6ft tall and well built. He was wearing navy-coloured trousers, brown socks and black shoes. He wore a silver bracelet quartz watch and had a bandage on his left leg. A post mortem examination was performed on December 7, 2001. His body is resting in Drumcliffe Cemetery.
