Jean-Loic Briand was last seen on March 6, 1985. He studied in Rennes and resided in Loudeac. He was in Paris at the time of his disappearance and was supposed be back at Loudeac on Wednesday, 6 March, in the evening.
At 11 pm, his mother received a phone call from a police station in the Paris area. The police told her that her son was spotted at a restaurant, near Montparnasse train station. He had no ID papers and no money. His mom called Montparnasse police station, which confirmed that he went there, but they let him go because he was an adult.
His family contacted the foreign Legion, the Salvation Army, prisons, and famous Commissioner Le Taillanter who started an investigation.
According to his mother, Jean-Loic possibly encountered foul play after he left the police station or might have committed suicide. He might also wanted to rake off for a few days and something happened to him. She thinks he wanted to come back, because he gave his mother's number to the policemen at Montparnasse station.
