The victim was discovered floating in the sea near Bordighera, close to the French boarder. She had been hit several times in the right side of the head with a blunt object. It is theorized she was attacked while aboard a boat, possibly when sleeping, as it appears the opposite side of her head rested on a soft surface when the right side was struck.
