Willemijntje van der Meer left her house on January 2, 1978 at the Gilles Ledenberchstraat Amsterdam Oud-West. Since then nothing has been heard of her. Her disappearance was registered at the Amsterdam office on January 3, 1978. The police investigation yielded nothing at that time. However, it became known that Willemijntje, shortly before her disappearance, had searched for her passport.
Willemijntje was married and had six children, ages 6 to 14 years.
Another striking detail is that shortly after she went missing, two men came to her home address to ask for pictures (albums). The children who were home alone at the time, thought that the two gentlemen were from the police. It turned out that the police never asked for these albums.
Foundation ZoekJeMee pays attention to this old case, in the hope that, 36 years after the mysterious disappearance, new information can be obtained and that this case can be solved.
